Gentilissimi,
dal 23 al 29 novembre 2015 si svolgerà in tutta Europa la Quinta Edizione della Settimana Robotica Europea. Queste manifestazioni (analogamente alla eu Code Week alla quale vi ho invitati) sono importanti per muovere l’Europa verso obiettivi alti di scienza e conoscenza e per comunicare ai giovani i benefici della robotica, nelle sue diverse applicazioni. La Settimana Robotica Europea è anche l’occasione per discutere degli aspetti etici, legali e sociali di questa nuova disciplina. Nelle passate quattro edizioni l’Italia ha organizzato il più alto numero di eventi in Europa, dalle università ai centri di ricerca, dalle società produttrici agli integratori, alle centinaia di scuole dove migliaia di ragazzine e ragazzini (e anche bambini piccoli) hanno costruito e programmato i loro kit robotici. Questo movimento grass-roots, dal basso è importantissimo: queste bambine e questi bambini saranno i robotici e gli utenti della robotica di domani. Dove andrà la robotica dipenderà anche da loro.

EUROPEAN ROBOTICS WEEK 2015 – REGISTER YOUR EVENT
Dear Reader… are you ready for the Robots? European Robotics Week 2015 is just a few weeks away; an event to inspire students of all educational levels to experience the very real impact that robotics is having on our society and to encourage students of all ages to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects. Last year, we encouraged thousands of individuals to participate in over 500 different events and 24 different countries, this year we want #ERW2015 to be even more successful. Bristol takes centre stage and hosts a number of interactive robotics events for participants of all ages. Become a part of #ERW2015 by organising an event and make a difference by inspiring and motivating kids and adults to learn about robots. Everyone is welcome and registration is easy. Make sure to pick a topic, describe your event and it will be immediately accessible from the map page. Please look at our handbook for ideas on how to get started. If you would like some help or further suggestions, then our National Coordinators are only too happy to help.
