22/10/2020: Cari colleghi ENO, prima di tutto, spero che stiate bene e al sicuro!

Per favore, fate attenzione, cari amici! ENOArt Upycled Tree Contest è terminato. A causa della pandemia e del blocco, la maggior parte dei paesi non ha potuto partecipare. Abbiamo prima prorogato la scadenza, ma abbiamo comunque ricevuto molte mail dagli insegnanti, spiegando che la situazione nel loro paese è così complicata, che non possono lavorare con gli studenti e quindi non possono partecipare. Alla fine abbiamo deciso che il concorso è chiuso e non più trattato come un concorso, ma come un normale progetto artistico. Tuttavia, abbiamo ricevuto 7 candidature da 6 paesi: Cina orientale, Italia, Montenegro, Macedonia del Nord, Slovenia e Taiwan. Per me sono tutti vincitori! I loro alberi sono stati creati in circostanze molto insolite, ma con tale immaginazione e inventiva, che devi davvero ammirarli. I ragazzi cinesi stavano discutendo e riflettendo in modo vivido, quindi hanno progettato un albero interattivo con le carte, appese ai loro rami per apprendere fatti interessanti sugli alberi. Gli studenti di Taiwan hanno sottolineato l’uguaglianza. Il loro obiettivo era mostrare come dovremmo accettare tutte le persone, indipendentemente dalle differenze che potremmo avere. La ragazza italiana stava costruendo il suo albero insieme a tutta la famiglia – dai nonni al suo fratellino, mentre gli sloveni hanno rilasciato la loro esplosione di fresca creatività mentre onoravano la Giornata della Terra. Tutti questi brillanti studenti e mentori hanno dimostrato che nulla può uccidere la nostra anima e che tutto è possibile finché credi in noi stessi. L’arte è forte! Non dimenticarlo mai. Goditi il ​​video con il loro lavoro e ringrazia tutti i tuoi insegnanti e scuole che volevano partecipare, ma questa volta non hanno potuto.

Questi alberi riciclati sono stati creati da brillanti studenti ENO di 6 paesi durante la chiusura del Covid 19, mostrano la loro inventiva, mente aperta e immaginazione. E questo è ciò che conta la vera creatività.

Ma – una nuova ENOArt è in arrivo…. Darinka Orel 

Dear ENO teachers from all around the world,First of all, I hope you are all well and safe! Please, take care, dear friends!ENOArt Upycled Tree Contest ended. Due to the pandemic and lockdown, the majority of countries could not participate. We first prolonged the deadline, but still received a lot of mails from teachers, explaining that the situation in their country is so complicated, that they cannot work with students and therefore cannot participate. Finally we decided that the contest is closed and no longer treated as a contest, but as a regular art project.Nevertheless, we received 7 entries from 6 countries: East China, Italy, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Slovenia and Taiwan. For me, they are all winners! Their trees were created in very unusual circumstances, but with such imagination and inventiveness, that you really have to admire them.Chinese boys were debating and brainstorming vividly, and then they designed an interactive tree with cards, hanging from their branches to learn interesting facts about trees. Taiwan students emphasized equality. Their goal was to show, how we should accept all the people, regardless of the differences we might have. Italian girl was building her tree together with the whole family – from grandparents to her little brother, while Slovenes released their burst of fresh creativity while honoring the Earth Day.All these brilliant students and mentors proved that nothing can kill our soul and that anything is possible as long as you believe in ourselves. Art is strong! STUDENTS, CREATE A TREE

• The tree that you create will be displayed in the school hall, your classroom, school library or maybe outside your school.
• It must remind the passers-by of the enormous importance of trees for the Earth and humanity. It may function as a display or it may create a pleasant atmosphere where everybody will want to sit and socialize…
• Create a tree with a message. Think of all the diverse functions of a tree. There is no right way for how you see it – it could be as an object of beauty or a collection of chemicals … What matters is that you become the voice of trees and make people think.

MATERIALS

• Construct your tree from old and used materials. Use materials you have in abundance. This can be practically anything you find in the waste: pieces of wood, metal, wheels, old newspapers, old books, umbrellas, plastic bags, bottles, CDs …
• There is no limitation on types of materials.
• Any materials needed for the tree’s construction – such as glue, string, nails, screws, or other similar materials – are allowed.
• The tree must have a 3D construction and be at least 2 meters tall. If the construction allows, it can stand on its own, if not, it can lean against the wall.
• The most important thing is your imagination! Think out of the box. Surprise us!

IMPORTANT

• We must all learn how to reuse materials and find the joy of creating again. Never forget that we have everything we need to create anything we want.
• Learn to find the beauty within the material itself. Do not transform the material into something that it is not. Plastic is plastic and not marble.
• Find the beauty in the imperfection of the used and broken things. When we learn how to love the imperfection of things, we will learn to love our own so-called imperfections.
• The possibility of using anything does not mean you have to use everything! Choose tastefully.

RULES

REGISTER YOUR SCHOOL FIRST HERE

• You should send a short description of the used materials and three photos of the tree.
• DIMENSIONS: The tree should be natural size, which means at least 2 m tall.

• Create the best interior and atmosphere that suites your tree! Take three photos of your tree from different angles – one with students.
• Each submission with a maximum of three photos must be clearly identified. Data should be readable in English and written in Latin alphabet.

EVALUATION, JUDGING AND PRIZES

• Your artwork will be evaluated for Best Presentation, Best Use of Material and above all, for the most ORIGINAL and the most CREATIVE idea.
• Winners will be selected by an international jury consisting of four experts, coming from four different continents.
• Practical technical prizes will be awarded to the top project in each category!*
• Top five projects will get a diploma signed by ENO and the International jury.
• Every participant will receive a certificate signed by ENO and the International jury.
• All the entries will be displayed within the online gallery.

* The spread of coronavirus forced us to change the beautiful awards we prepared for you, because they included traveling. We had to decide for safer practical awards. The winning author and mentor of each category will get smart phones.

TEACHERS, TAKE PHOTOS AND CREATE “TREE STORIES”

Every tree has a story. Find it and share it with us.
We want to see stories of trees from all over the world. Let your tree speak through the photo.

Is the tree in your neighborhood the tallest, the smallest, the funkiest, the oldest tree ever …
Is it full of animals, birds, insects?
Is it hurt, burnt? Is it dying?
Or is it simply beautiful, blooming or changing colors?
Maybe it is trying to survive or something strange happened nearby?

CONTEST

• You must be a teacher and a member of ENO Teachers FB group.

*If you are not yet a member of FB group ENO Teachers, ask for membership, but please, do not forget to answer the questions we send! You will be accepted as soon as you answer the questions.

• Send your photo to ENO Teachers Facebook page and publish it there.
• Add your basic data to the photo:

Name and surname, Country, Title of the photo / or a short description of circumstances

• Photos with most likes will be sent to the semifinals and THEN judged by an expert.
• Authors of the best ten photos will get a diploma signed by ENO and the International jury.
• All the teachers who will take part in the photo contest will get the certificate, signed by ENO and the International jury.

CREA UN ALBERO

• l’albero che crei può essere esposto nell’atrio della scuola, nella tua classe, nella biblioteca della scuola o anche fuori dalla scuola.
• la tua creazione deve ricordare ai passanti l’enorme importanza degli alberi per la Terra e per l’umanità. Può funzionare come un display o può creare un’atmosfera piacevole dove tutti vorranno sedersi e socializzare …
• creare un albero con un messaggio. Pensa a tutte le diverse funzioni di un albero. Non esiste un modo giusto per come lo vedi: potrebbe essere un oggetto di bellezza o una raccolta di sostanze chimiche … Ciò che conta è che diventi la voce degli alberi e induca le persone a pensare.

MATERIALI

• Costruisci il tuo albero con materiali vecchi e usati. Usa materiali che hai in abbondanza. Questo può essere praticamente tutto ciò che trovi tra i materiali di scarto/di riciclo: pezzi di legno, metallo, ruote, vecchi giornali, vecchi libri, ombrelli, sacchetti di plastica, bottiglie, CD …
• Non ci sono limiti sui tipi di materiali.
• Sono ammessi tutti i materiali necessari per la costruzione dell’albero – come colla, spago, chiodi, viti o altri materiali simili.
• L’albero deve avere una costruzione 3D ed essere alto almeno 2 metri. Se la costruzione lo consente, può stare da solo, in caso contrario, può appoggiarsi al muro.
• La cosa più importante è la tua immaginazione! Pensare fuori dagli schemi. Sorprendici!

IMPORTANTE

• Dobbiamo tutti imparare a riutilizzare i materiali e ritrovare la gioia di creare di nuovo. Non dimenticare mai che abbiamo tutto il necessario per creare tutto ciò che vogliamo.
• Impara a trovare la bellezza all’interno del materiale stesso. Non trasformare il materiale in qualcosa che non lo è. La plastica è plastica e non marmo.
• Trova la bellezza nell’imperfezione delle cose usate e rotte. Quando impareremo ad amare l’imperfezione delle cose, impareremo ad amare le nostre cosiddette imperfezioni.
• La possibilità di utilizzare qualsiasi cosa non significa che devi usare tutto! Scegli con gusto.

REGOLE

• È necessario inviare una breve descrizione dei materiali utilizzati e tre foto dell’albero.
• DIMENSIONI: l’albero dovrebbe avere dimensioni naturali, il che significa che è alto almeno 2 m.
• Crea i migliori interni e l’atmosfera che si addicono al tuo albero! Scatta tre foto del tuo albero da diverse angolazioni: una con bambine/i – ragazze/i.
• Ogni invio con un massimo di tre foto deve essere chiaramente identificato. I dati dovrebbero essere leggibili in inglese e scritti in alfabeto latino.

ENO Art: Trees , Mar – May 2020

The year 2000 was the beginning of many new and visionary things. It was also the year when the ENO program was born. Our goal was to raise environmental awareness and sensibility in the young generation and help them to grow into responsible citizens of the Earth. From the beginning, ENO has recognized the enormous importance of trees to the Earth and we have been planting them since 2004.

Humans cannot survive without trees. They are the biggest plants and the longest living species on Earth. Their role is so versatile that the list of their tasks would go on and on: they provide oxygen; store carbon dioxide; improve air quality; conserve water;  preserve soil; support wildlife; provide shelter, medicine, fruits and wood; they trap dust and absorb pollutants from the air; reduce heat;  control climate; filter the sun’s radiant energy; reduce wind speed; strengthen communities …

And besides all that – they are beautiful and majestic.

TREES PROTECT FUTURE

No wonder our new ENO Art upcycling contest will pay tribute to trees! We have prepared an upcycling contest for students and a photo contest for teachers.
